Blue Plaid Day Dress

When I was 12 years old, I got into Civil War Reenacting. I didn't know how to sew yet, so a friend of mine offered to make a dress for me if I bought the fabric. So, I picked up some blue plaid that caught my eye and some wooden buttons, and this is what she made me. 300 years later, it's falling apart a bit, but I still love it!
(I secretly think that the seams were falling apart because I had shoved my fat ass into this dress for a photoshoot after X amount of year, and it was the strain making them fray. Thankfully, I've lost about 60 pounds since this photoshoot, so the dress would be under less stress if I wore it again!)
