Cinderella at Bass Hall

I swear, I have been doing costume stuff this year.

In March, the DFW Costumers Guild decided to do a princess event for the Cinderella ballet. The Texas Ballet Theater always treats us so incredibly well, and Bass Hall is so welcoming to our costume shenanigans, so it's always fun to attend their events.

We had a wide range of time periods in our group, from Regency to 1950s and everything in between, and one particularly fabulous purple sari.

The ballet itself was beautiful and hilarious. The ugly stepsisters were played by a couple of the company's gentlemen, and they stole every scene they were in, clomping around on the stage and being generally uncoordinated and ridiculous. It was great. I'm looking forward to seeing Alice in Wonderland when they perform that next year.
