August is undisputedly the month for Star Trek shenanigans. After coming back from TrekCon the week before, I was already back in uniform for the USS Navras's Landing Party, a new event that's similar to A Good Day to Dine that the IKV Melota puts on, where we dress up in our Trek threads and invade an unsuspecting restaurant.
We had quite a nice turnout, with somewhere between 12-15 people showing up. We ate and chatted for the better part of 3 hours, and one of our cadets was promoted! All in all, it was very good, relaxed get together, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.
